Lindeman Lake is a small mountain lake in Sx̱ótsaqel/Chilliwack Lake Park, surrounded by steep forested slopes and reached on foot from Chilliwack Lake Road.

Location

This guide covers Lindeman Lake near Chilliwack in southwestern British Columbia, inside Sx̱ótsaqel/Chilliwack Lake Park. It is not the Lindeman Lake on the Chilkoot Trail in northern B.C. Use the Chilliwack location when searching for directions or camping information.

At the lakeshore

Use established shoreline areas for rest stops, avoid trampling vegetation and keep the trail clear for other hikers.

Can you swim in Lindeman Lake?

The water can be cold even on a warm day. If you swim, enter gradually and stay close to shore. Avoid diving into unknown water.

Photography

The lake’s green water and forested slopes are visible from established shoreline viewpoints. Avoid blocking narrow trail sections or moving natural objects for a photograph. The appearance of the water varies with light and weather.

Wildlife, pets and rubbish

Pack out rubbish and food scraps, keep your distance from wildlife and keep noise low. Check the park’s pet guidelines before bringing a dog.
